Celebrate Spring Equinox at the Labyrinth

Come celebrate with us the Spring Equinox at the Labyrinth at 11:30 am on Friday 17 September - labyrinth walk, 20 minutes silent meditation / contemplation followed by sharing our thoughts on this special time of year, and our changing perceptions of the passing of time in our increasingly time-poor world, and our increasing awareness of the short time still available to us.

The labyrinth continues to evolve with the seasons, with new art work, and 2 small blackboards we use to share our thoughts and poetry, capture the mood of our gatherings, and to add another dimension for walkers of the Labyrinth to discover. Recent examples of poems we have written as a group include:

By the docile river
Smile in peace.
No regrets.

A picture of movement
Tree trunk with tight curls on its bark
Music of the flute
Fulfilment

Three gum nuts, a rock and a staff
Transcend the bubbles
Like the wind.

Celebrate Winter Solstice at our Labyrinth

Come celebrate with us!!! It is both Winter Solstice, the time to celebrate the seasonal return of light to our world. In addition it is also a time for a special celebration for the Labyrinth which has reached a new phase in its evolution with the placement of bollards along the road to better define our area, continued addition of rocks and art work, and lots of plants rejoicing after the recent rain. The photos above can only give a taste of its growing peace and beauty. (We will be celebrating its 5th birthday in November,,)

We will meet (as for most Fridays) at 11:30 for a quiet walk through the labyrinth, followed by 20 minutes silent meditation/contemplation, time for sharing (which often includes poetry), and then lunch together - usually in the labyrinth (BYO or take-away from Cafe 191).

I have a separate email list that shares some of our poetry, and is a reminder of our weekly gatherings. Please let me know if you would like to be added to this list.
