Lucky and the Labyrinth celebrate their 10th Birthday!!! 5 November 2026!!!

 Hi Labyrinth Supporters,

Almost unbelievably, Lucky and the Labyrinth celebrate their 10th Birthday!!! 5 November 2026!!! - the actual celebration will be the following day - Friday 6 November at 11:30 am with a meditation, visiting, and possibly poetry writing at the Labyinth followed by lunch at Cafe 191.  (This also commemorates Joyce's 80th birthday on 5 November).

Much has changed since our vision of the Labyrinth came together during October 2016 culminating in the Grand Opening 5 November 2016 to coincide with Joyce's 70th birthday.  There have been many changes over these 10 years - focusing on quite a few projects at the Labyinth, most notably the Painting of the Mural in the Courtyard ,https://bribielabyrinthproject.blogspot.com/2019/06/peace-wall-at-bribie-island-community_27.html which remained a feature of the courtyard for several years, the Opening of Cafe 191 and redesign of the Courtyard, several artistic projects in the Labyrinth, most notably the Ephemeral Art Exhibition in 2024 - all focusing on slow growth of the Labyrinth vegetation, and changing artwork within the Labyrinth itself.  The focal point of all our activities definitely continues to be our Labyinth Walk, and 20 minute silent  meditation almost every Friday at 11:30 am.

I realise that only a few of us have been fortunate enough to have both the energy and opportunity to continue to be actively involved with the Labyinth - and wish to thank all of you for making this milestone possible, whatever your contribution has been.

And also hope that you might remember the Labyrinth whenever you are looking for a very special place to enjoy a few peaceful moments (or hours) on Bribie.  We would also especially be delighted if you could join us for one of our Friday 11:30 am gatherings.
